Pick a platform and drop in a banner to check its resolution, shape, file size and type against that platform's own numbers, then download it cropped to the recommended size.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

## How to use it

1. **Pick a platform.** Facebook cover, LinkedIn banner, X header, Twitch banner or Discord banner. You can switch after adding the image.
2. **Add the image.** Drop a JPG or PNG. It's checked in your browser and isn't uploaded.
3. **Download to fit.** The dimmed part is what's cut off. Download it cropped from the middle to the recommended size as a JPG.

## Banner sizes by platform

Each platform's help page gives these numbers:

- Facebook Page cover: at least 400 × 150. It loads fastest as an sRGB JPG of 851 × 315 under 100 KB. It's shown left-aligned at 16:9 on computers and 2.4:1 on phones.
- LinkedIn profile background: 1584 × 396 recommended, PNG or JPG, up to 8 MB. GIFs aren't supported.
- X header: 1500 × 500 recommended, as a JPEG, GIF or PNG. Up to 60 pixels at the top and bottom can be cropped on some screens.
- Twitch profile banner: 1200 × 480 recommended. Shorter or taller images are scaled to 480 pixels high.
- Discord profile banner: at least 680 × 240, PNG, JPG or animated GIF under 10 MB. Only Nitro members can upload one.

## Keeping the important part visible

Banners are shown at different widths on computers and phones, and some sit under a profile picture. On Facebook the profile picture overlaps the cover by about 40 pixels on phones, X may crop up to 60 pixels from the top and bottom, and Twitch stretches the banner in windows wider than the image, so it suggests keeping graphics on the left.

Keep text and logos away from the edges, and check the banner on the platform after you upload it.
