Drop in a video and get a grid of evenly spaced frames with timestamps. See a whole short at a glance, or study how a hook opens.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

## How to use it

1. **Add a video.** Drop any video your browser can play. It's read in the browser and isn't uploaded.
2. **Choose the frames.** Pick how many frames, and whether they cover the whole video or only the first three seconds.
3. **Download the sheet.** Save the grid as a PNG with a timestamp on every frame.

## Why use a contact sheet

A contact sheet shows a whole video at once, so you can read its structure without scrubbing: where the cuts are, how long the intro runs and when the product first appears.

The first-three-seconds mode samples only the opening, which is what viewers see before deciding whether to keep watching. Use it to compare how videos that work begin.

## How Cutfac uses them

The app makes a contact sheet for every reference video you save, along with the scene cuts, hook frames and audio, so your coding agent can study a video and write down why it works.

## Questions

### How are the frames picked?

The video is split into equal slices and the frame in the middle of each is used, so the first frame is never a black fade-in.

### Which video formats work?

Any video your browser can play. If a file won't open, convert it to MP4 with H.264 video and try again.

### Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is read in your browser and the sheet is drawn there too.
