Drop in a PDF, pick a resolution, and save each page as a PNG, one at a time or all together in a ZIP. Nothing leaves your browser.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

## How to use it

1. **Add the PDF.** Drop it in or choose it.
2. **Pick the resolution and pages.** 150 DPI for screens, 300 DPI to print. Leave Pages empty to convert them all.
3. **Convert and save.** Click a page to save it, or download them all in a ZIP.

## Which resolution to pick

A PDF measures its pages in points, 72 to the inch, so at 72 DPI a US Letter page comes out at its own size, 612 × 792 pixels. 150 DPI gives 1275 × 1650, clear on screen and in slides. 300 DPI gives 2550 × 3300, enough to print the page at full size.

A page is drawn as big as the browser allows, about 16.7 million pixels, so a poster-sized page may come out below the DPI you picked.

## PNG or JPG

PNG keeps every pixel, so text, lines and charts stay crisp: right for documents, slides and diagrams. JPG makes smaller files and suits scanned pages and photos, where its slight softening doesn't show.

Pages come out on a white background, as they print.

## With pdftoppm

pdftoppm, part of Poppler, does the same from the command line. -r sets the resolution, 150 DPI if left out, and -f and -l pick the first and last page. It writes a PNG for each page, named page- and the page number:

- pdftoppm -png -r 300 input.pdf page
- pdftoppm -png -r 300 -f 2 -l 4 input.pdf page

## Without a tool

On a Mac, open the PDF in Preview, choose File > Export, pick PNG and set the resolution. Preview saves the page that's showing, one page at a time.

## Questions

### Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are drawn and saved in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

### Can I convert just one page?

Yes. Type its number under Pages, or a list like 1-3, 8. Leave it empty for every page.

### Which resolution should I use?

150 DPI for screens and slides, 300 DPI to print. 72 DPI keeps the page at its own size.

### Is the background transparent?

No. Pages come out on white, as they print.

### Can it convert a password-protected PDF?

Not one that asks for a password to open. A PDF that only restricts printing or copying opens normally.

### How many pages can I convert at once?

Up to 50 at a time. For a longer PDF, enter the next pages, such as 51-100, and convert again.
