Paste your script with one line per caption and see how long each line takes to say. Check the total against your target length, then export captions.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

## How to use it

1. **Paste your script.** Put each sentence or caption on its own line. Text in brackets, like [cut to demo], isn't counted.
2. **Pick a pace.** Start with conversational. Read one line aloud with a timer, and switch to relaxed, fast or your own rate if it doesn't match.
3. **Pick a target.** Choose 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 seconds. The timer shows whether the script fits, is tight or runs long.
4. **Export captions.** Download an SRT file with one caption per line, timed to your pace.

## How the time is estimated

English is timed by words and Korean by syllables, because that's how each is paced when spoken. A line with both is timed by both, and a short pause is added between lines.

The paces are starting points: 130, 150 and 170 words a minute for English, and 300, 350 and 400 syllables a minute for Korean. Speaking rates vary a lot from person to person, so time yourself once and adjust.

## Writing a script that fits

A few habits make a short script easier to say and to watch.

- Put the hook in the first line and keep it short. The timer shows when it ends.
- Aim for about 90% of the target so the video doesn't end mid-sentence.
- Cut words rather than reading faster. Rushed narration is hard to follow.
- Keep one idea per line so each caption is easy to read.

## Questions

### How many words is a 30-second script?

At a conversational 150 words a minute, about 75 words before pauses, and about 150 for 60 seconds. Leave room for a beat at the end.

### How is Korean timed?

By Hangul syllables. At 350 syllables a minute, a 30-second script is about 175 syllables before pauses.

### Why does my recording run longer than the estimate?

Most people slow down when they record, and emphasis and breaths add time. Read one line aloud, time it, and set a custom pace.

### Is my script saved or uploaded?

No. It stays in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.
