## How to use it

1. **Add SVG files.** Drop one or several.
2. **Pick the size.** 1× is the SVG's own size. Pick 2× or 4× for a small icon you'll use large or on sharp screens.
3. **Download.** Save a single PNG, or all of them in one ZIP.

## Vector in, pixels out

An SVG describes shapes, so it stays sharp at any size. A PNG is a grid of pixels, fixed when it's made. That's why the size comes first: draw the SVG as large as you'll show the PNG, or larger, rather than enlarging a small PNG later.

The SVG's own size comes from its width and height, or from its viewBox when those are missing. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PNG.

## What a browser leaves out

Drawn as an image, an SVG can't load anything outside itself. A linked image comes out as a broken-image icon in Chrome, and text in a linked web font falls back to a font on your computer. Embed images in the SVG, or turn text into outlines in your design app, before converting.

## On the command line

librsvg's rsvg-convert draws an SVG at a set width:

### Are my files uploaded?

No. The SVG is drawn and saved as PNG in your browser.

### What size will the PNG be?

The SVG's own width and height times the size you pick. An SVG with only a viewBox uses its viewBox numbers.

### Is the background transparent?

Yes, wherever the SVG draws nothing.

### Why is my text in a different font?

A browser drawing an SVG as an image doesn't load linked fonts. Turn the text into outlines in your design app first.
