Changelog
What changed in each release of the Cutfac Mac app. The app updates itself, so you get these as they ship.
Get launch news
An email when a new version or a big feature ships. No more than that.
A first launch that gets you ready for your first video.
- The first launch takes you from a fresh install to a board ready for your first video, in a few steps.
- It finds Claude Code and Codex on your Mac, and a button installs, updates or signs one in.
- Full Disk Access is one drag: a small window beside System Settings holds Cutfac's icon to drop into the list.
- A workspace folder comes filled in, and your agents connect to it on their own.
- Say what your videos are for and where they go, add your site or a folder, and pick a reference from a gallery or paste a link. Your agent makes your first template from it while you name your first video.
- The agent asks only what it can't settle, one question at a time with answers to pick, and lists what it decided without asking.
- Each workspace keeps a brief of what its videos are for and where they go. Edit it from the top of the sidebar, or tell your agent.
- Close the window midway, and the next launch picks up where you left off.
Cutfac feels more like a native Mac app.
- Videos opens on a gallery, and the board is one toggle away.
- A ⌘K command palette and app-wide keyboard shortcuts.
- Right-click menus on board cards and text fields.
- Drag cards between board columns, and drag a video out of the app. Hold ⌥ to drag a card's file.
- Select and move between board cards from the keyboard.
- The title bar shows the view's title and actions, and the sidebar sits on the macOS sidebar material.
- The window reopens where you left it, on the last page you had open.
A macOS title bar, a truer safe zone and a check on your agent's version.
- The board runs under an inset macOS title bar.
- Frame review matches the safe zone to the measured TikTok, Reels and Shorts UI.
- Cutfac warns you when your Claude Code or Codex CLI is older than it supports.
- The local server starts with a clean login-shell environment, so it finds the same programs your terminal does.
- The app refuses page permissions the board never uses.
A free version, versions to compare and files in every chat.
- The free version makes your first 3 videos with every feature, with no trial clock. A license key makes it unlimited.
- Ask for several versions of an edit, play them side by side and keep the one you like.
- Attach files to edit requests and to the template import chat, and keep references on each video.
- Resize and move the sections of the video editor.
- Frame review dims the platform UI bands on vertical frames and returns a checklist.
- Send feedback from the sidebar, or with /feedback from your agent.
- The chat collapses tool calls, and the board names the model each agent runs by default.
- The local server refuses cross-site and DNS-rebinding requests.
The first release of the Cutfac Mac app.
- A board for your videos, with a video editor where you mark a range or draw a box and say what to change.
- Your own Claude Code or Codex does the work through Cutfac's MCP server, with a model and effort you pick per request.
- Learn your product from links, files and folders, and point a video's agent at the ones it should read.
- Bring in a format from a link. Formats carry their own skills, programs and inputs.
- Frame review, a brief and a shot list run before a video comes back to you.
- Edit requests line up behind the running one, and every video keeps its versions with undo and redo.
- English and Korean, and the app updates itself.
A format that understands your product.Set it once, make the rest.
Your agent makes video after video in your format. You only point at what to fix.
