Privacy policy

How Wyverse Labs handles personal information on the Cutfac website, in the app and when you buy a plan.

Last updated:

This policy is a draft. It will be reviewed before paid plans open.

1. Who we are

Cutfac is made by Wyverse Labs. In this policy, “we” means Wyverse Labs. You can reach us at the contact address on our website.

2. The app

The Cutfac app runs on your Mac. Your videos, workspaces, prompts and agent conversations stay on your Mac and are not sent to us.

The app doesn't send analytics or usage data. It only connects to the internet when you ask it to:

  • Importing your app from an App Store, Google Play or landing page URL fetches that page.
  • Adding a reference from a link downloads the video with yt-dlp from the site you linked.
  • Paid builds check for updates and download them.

3. Coding agents

When you ask for an edit, the app runs Claude Code or Codex on your Mac with your own account. The agent sends what it reads, including clips, frames and your request, to its provider, Anthropic or OpenAI. That data is handled under the provider's terms and privacy policy, not this one. We don't receive it.

4. Feedback

The app's Send feedback button opens a form in your browser. The form is hosted by Tally, and the app version, language and macOS version are filled in for you. Nothing is sent until you submit the form.

We receive what you write, those three details and your email address if you choose to give it. We use them to answer you and improve Cutfac.

5. The website

This website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser, the page you asked for and the time, to run the site and keep it secure. These logs are kept for a short time under Vercel's retention policy.

We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

The free tools run in your browser. Videos and text you use with them are processed on your device and are not uploaded.

6. Purchases

Checkout is not open yet. When it opens, payments will be handled by a payment provider that acts as the seller of record, and this policy will name it. We will receive your name, email address, country, what you bought and your license status. We won't receive your full card number.

7. Email

If you email us, we use your address and message to reply and keep them until the conversation is resolved, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

8. Who we share data with

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Cutfac, and only for that purpose:

  • Vercel Inc. (United States), which hosts this website.
  • Tally BV (Belgium), which hosts the feedback form and stores submissions in the European Union.
  • The payment provider, once checkout opens.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We rely on their contractual and legal safeguards for these transfers.

10. How long we keep data

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Feedback is kept while it helps us improve the app, and we delete it when you ask. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and consumer protection law requires, which can be up to five years.

11. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it. Email the contact address on our website and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Children

Cutfac is not meant for children under 14, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

13. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will give notice on this website at least seven days before they take effect.
