Online teleprompter
Paste a script and read it to camera as it scrolls at your speaking pace.

Three things I wish I'd known before my first video.
One: clear sound matters more than a sharp camera.
[cut to the microphone]
Two: say the point in the first line.
Three: post it, then make the next one better.
Space plays and pauses, and ↑ and ↓ change the speed.

More about this tool
- 1
Paste your script
One sentence per line reads best. Directions in [brackets] show on screen but take no time.
- 2
Pick a pace and text size
Start from relaxed, conversational or fast, and pick a size you can read from where you'll stand.
- 3
Play and read
Press play or the space bar. Use − and +, or the up and down arrow keys, to match your pace while you read.
Instead of a scroll speed in pixels, the prompter times each line at a speaking pace, so a long line stays on screen longer than a short one. Lines get a short pause between them.
The three paces are starting points, not measurements: about 130, 150 or 170 words a minute for English, and 300, 350 or 400 syllables a minute for Korean. Change the speed with − and + while you read until it matches you.
Read the line on the guide, a third of the way down, with the lines coming up below it. Full screen fills the display; put the window as close to the lens as you can so your eyes stay near the camera.
With a teleprompter glass, which reflects a screen lying under the lens, turn on mirroring so the reflection reads the right way round.
